Options in this dialog box are explained, as marked in Figure 4, above. Clicking the Expand button brings up the Characters dialog box that you can see in Figure 4, below. 
To see the larger Characters dialog box, you can click on the Expand button highlighted in green. The symbols are categorized, and you can see even more categories by clicking the Arrow button highlighted in blue. Even within this minimal version, you can search for a particular symbol in the text box highlighted in red within Figure 3.
Do note that what you see is a minimal version of the Symbol palette. Either action brings up the Symbol floating palette that you can see in Figure 3, below. Save a slideshow as: Command + Shift + SĮasily switch the view you’re using from outline to slide sorter to master slide view with these shortcuts. Move through open slideshows: Command + Tilde (~). 
Open a recent file: Command + Shift + O (capital letter “o”). Open a slideshow: Command + O (capital letter “o”). Copy a selected slide: Command + Shift + D. Create a slideshow with a gallery template: Command + Shift + P. These shortcuts let you do that without fumbling for your mouse. When you’re building a slideshow, you want to concentrate on the content and the way it’s presented.
